It's risky but you may get a good deal when someone needs cash and sell it much less than the actual price. For example, when I was searching for a harp I met a guy who had a wonderful gold harp, but he kept lowering the price because he couldn't sell it. It was 18000 at that time, which of course is very cheap for a good gold harp.
You can get something like that if you search hard.
